Straight Through Continental Divide
Relatively short part of the canal, the Culebra Cut connects Gatun Lake to the Pacific Ocean. At the Pacific end of the cut, the Miraflores Locks step the ships up and down 87 feet, mirroring the Gatun Locks at the Atlantic Ocean end of the canal.
