compulsory recount is .005% margin which at this point is about 1000 votes. shumlin has a 1003 vote lead PLUS the 1200 vote net he has in bennington. ....he's outside the compulsory recount margin by quite a bit. Dubie would have to be pretty boneheaded to ask for a recount.... so... lets recount!

Those watching the Dubie camp & his hightailing it seemed to think he was aware it did not look good.

Brian Dubie should be retreating with his tail between his legs. The tone with which he conducted his campaign was despicable.

Josh, if you can post the Shumlin speech soon, that would be great! Good karma will be bestowed upon you 10 fold! And good karma is a good thing to have, when you run a cute little web site like VTDIGGER.

bcm, I am outraged too, but I heard the Brian Dubie I recognize when he was on TV tonight, so I am optimistic he will still be a positive part of the Vermont political process

Stardust, the body language showed all.. and I had republicans I was chatting with who disappeared about 20-30 minutes ahead of the decisive numbers coming out.. so the campaigns had the numbers before they were made public by the media.. the media has to check everything, but it seems they may have deliberately pushed numbers to make it appear closer than it was
